New Zealand Lumber Exports Ltd is committed to sourcing from responsibly managed forestry. All our wood is from well-managed plantations.
New Zealand Lumber Exports is Chain of Custody certified for FSC MIX CREDIT timber using the transfer system. This verifies that our lumber carrying the FSC® label has been grown, milled and delivered in compliance with the strict requirements of the FSC®. FSC® certificate and invoice can be provided but must be agreed upon at the time of contract as it cannot be supplied retrospectively.
ENVIRONMENTAL
When FSC®-certified timber is not available, we source wood responsibly under strict sustainability and ethical standards. We never use wood that is illegally harvested, linked to human or traditional land rights violations, taken from protected or environmentally sensitive forests, or sourced from forests converted for non-forest use. We also exclude wood from genetically modified trees and ensure all sourcing complies with internationally recognised labour standards, including the ILO Core Conventions.
